Zachary Bodenheimer has dedicated his career to exclusively handling serious injury and wrongful death cases. His results speak for themselves. Year after year, he has obtained some of the largest personal injury verdicts in Florida. In 2017, he obtained two of the largest premises liability verdicts in Florida. In 2018, he was part of a team that obtained a ten-million-dollar verdict for a client that suffered a brain injury as a result of an automobile crash. That was the largest brain injury verdict in Florida in 2018 and the fourth largest verdict for an automobile crash.
Mr. Bodenheimer has worked to build a reputation as a trial lawyer so he can better serve his clients. Insurance companies and defense attorneys take advantage of lawyers that do not go to trial and only settle cases. When the insurance company knows a lawyer will not go to trial, the case generally settles for less than full value. That is why Mr. Bodenheimer has made it a cornerstone of his practice to take cases to trial when the offer is not fair. His dedication to trial work was recognized by the legal community in 2018 when he was elected by his peers to serve on the Board of Directors for the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Bodenheimer also has a passion for serving his community. After graduating from the University of Miami School of Law in the top 10% of his class, he served with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State Attorney. There he fought to obtain justice for individuals that were innocent victims of DUI’s, sexual assault, and other crimes.
After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, he wanted to continue to fight for the rights of innocent victims in the civil arena and thus dedicated his practice to representing people who were injured or killed and needed help. Over the course of his career, he has handled virtually every type of injury or death case including medical malpractice, product liability, construction site injuries, negligent security, cruise ship injuries, premises liability, automobile accidents, and many other types of cases.
Mr. Bodenheimer also believes in giving back. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Mr. Bodenheimer organized a charity event where he ran 48 miles in 48 hours to raise money for a local food bank that was feeding the South Florida community. His efforts raised thousands of dollars that paid for tens of thousands of meals during a very difficult time.
In 2021, he joined forces with attorney Michael Flanagan to create the Flanagan and Bodenheimer Injury and Wrongful Death Law Firm. He saw that Michael had the same vision to provide the absolute best representation for his clients and knew that together they would make a great team. They have both made it their life’s work to help those in need.
